Eraser Drawing
My first project for Art 3 is an eraser drawing and the small object I used is a padlock I got from middle school! The lock is silver with a few white shines and black streaks. There is a green knob sticking out along with the combination numbers. I had to use a pen to get the perfect angle that I wanted for my drawing. It took a little time to figure out which angle was best, and I chose the angle that included almost every physical feature of the lock including the numbers.
I really enjoyed this project because I got to use an eraser as a drawing tool instead of a pencil. There were many challenges that made me want to quit, but I went for it and succeeded. The hardest part for me was seeing the dark and light values on the green. It was hard to tell which part was dark and which part was light because I never tried to see past the color. However, the project turned out way better than I thought and I even learned more!
